Utilizing Ancient Wisdom in Home Construction
More and more people are using the ancient system of feng shui to improve their living environments. In addition to our other innovations, Le Parisien is again leading the way in enlightened real estate development by having our plans analyzed by a feng shui consultant, not as an afterthought, but before the plans were finalized. The value of this is two-fold. First, we made many improvements to our plans based upon the common-sense insights offered by feng shui. Second, this analysis helped us identify the specific qualities that each unit highlights. What follows below is a letter from our consultant that details the results of her analysis. Interior Design Space Planning - Form Follows Function
In conjuncture with the feng shui energy analysis, the floor plans were also evaluated for appropriate space allocations for daily human needs. This interior planning incorporates required dimensions for human-scale movements and functions, thus resulting in the most efficient and effective placement of rooms, layout of furniture and equipment. Each unit was reviewed as to how the home would be used and the needs for relaxation, gathering, entertaining, cooking, laundry, privacy, storage, lighting, work tasks, reading, sleeping, bathing and eating. feng shui is the Eastern art and science of living in harmony with your environment for health, wealth and well- being. feng shui means Wind Water. Wind and Water are symbolic descriptions of the natural forces that enact on us. Wind is the carrier of energy. It is the aspect of movement, sunshine, flow, life force. Water is the container which anchors, grounds, directs and holds this energy. Together, when they are in balance there is motion and the stillness, bringing harmony and good fortune to our lives.
It is the intention of Le Parisien Flats & Marketplace to accomplish this energy balance through proper positioning and placement of spaces along with appropriate selection of materials used throughout the entire project.

In ancient China it was considered auspicious if you had flowing water on you property, especially in front. Here at Le Parisien a lovely water fountain is placed in the courtyard creating new energy flow in the wealth area of your life, very auspicious. And the bubbling flowing water sounds are very calming to the nerves and acts as a sound buffer to the city noises. Good feng shui!
The quaint French doors as windows in every home let you connect with nature and sunshine, lifting your life force energy daily. You have a sense of a back door in your home which keeps the energy flowing unlike conventional condominiums. No stuck and stagnant energy here. Balconies provide an opportunity to personally connect with your own little patch of earth with outdoor flower pots. This is so grounding for the soul.
The high peaked roofs are thought of in feng shui to be more connected to the heavens or lofty ideas, always striving for improvement. Just think of all the churches and cathedrals around the world with this similar pitch in the roof – inspiring.

Great care and attention has been taken to ensure quiet spaces with the application of no hallways and acoustically engineered floors and walls. Where feasible, natural construction materials are specified to provide a healthier environment free from off-gassing of toxins. Individual Units
Energy moves in a sphere, like an atom. It is whole, balanced, complete and contained. Le Parisian condominiums have close to equal size perimeters, (like a square), it is the closest modern construction can come to a sphere shape. This reflects a balanced and harmonious living environment.
Kitchens are the hearth of the home. And in the kitchen we cook food that nourishes our bodies, mind and soul. When food is cooked over a fire (gas) it retains more of its nutrients than when cooked over an electric stove or in a microwave. I am pleased to report these condominiums will have gas stoves for cooking better quality food.
Bathrooms are not adjoined to bedrooms with doorways. If they were this would be a drain of energy while sleeping, which could be a negatively affect one’s health. And having one bathroom per unit reflects fewer energy drains in your home – definitely a good thing!
The master bedrooms are positioned in a command corner of the home. This means that they are in the furthest corner away from the front door, which ensures privacy, better sleeping and more control over one’s life.
