The Wedge Food Co-op
http://www.wedge.coop/

People come to The Wedge for the two key staples of life: Food and information.

You'll have to go to the real, live Wedge if you're body-hungry, but if you're "brain-hungry," then wedge.coop is the right place to be.

In our Up to the Minute! section, you can read about food issues and co-op news that can't wait until the Wedge Newsletter sees print. You can also access current and old issues of the Newsletter here, too. This archive is an incredible volume of information on food and food politics, dating back almost a decade, and written by some of the best chefs, "foodies," and agricultural activists in the Twin Cities.

Before shopping, you may want to look at the Specials pages, where all the best deals in The Wedge are listed. Search by department or product, then print out the list before you ever leave the house.

Another great place for accessing information is at one of our classes. Taught by accomplished cooks in a variety of dietary styles, our classes are a great place to learn new techniques - for culinary veterans and rookies alike.

Crema Café
This Old World-style cafe delights customers with live music and some of the best ice
cream in town.

Owned by the makers of Sonny's Ice Cream, Crema boasts one of the best boulevard gardens in town and a charming patio placed under a quaint set of windows. The coffee  beans are roasted in Italy and if it weren't for the clanking Lyndale Avenue traffic, you'd take one look at the salmon stucco walls, stained-glass windows and cloud-painted ceiling and swear you were in Verona.

Flavors range from grapefruit Campari sorbet to vanilla rum. Especially worth a try is the crema--made from espresso beans soaked overnight in cream.
